Wilburn Wanderers 5-UPR 0

From kick off Wilburn piled the pressure on to the UPR team. A good solid defence, bolstered by our newest player, Chris’0’, insured our midfield could capitalize on the play. It looked like one of those matches where everyone was UP for it. A free kick on the edge of the box caused an error from one of the UPR players. An own goal was the result, 1-0.

The passing in midfield was superb, Luke Marriage received the ball, a good solid strike, the ball was in the back of the net, 2-0 Wilburn.

The pressure from midfield kept on, JD received the ball and burst through 1 on 1 with the keeper, 3-0 Wilburn.

JD passed the ball on the right wing to jimmie, he ran to the corner flag and an excellent cross see Charlie run from deep in the pitch to score,4-0 Wilburn.That was the score at  half time.

Second half see Wilburn play up hill, which seemed a distinct disadvantage.

It wouldn’t have been a 5-0 victory if an old hand didn’t score, Chris was passed through by JD, 1 on 1 with the keeper, there was only 1 winner in that contest .5-0 Wilburn.

A good solid performance by every player on the pitch, a special mention to the back 3 who were excellent.
