| Wilburn Wanderers 11-Linford Wanderers 2
This wasn’t the score many predicted with a poor first half from the boys but they did score a few with Tommy opening the account 1-0, Chris with the second and an own goal. Jimmie also added the fourth. Linford pulled one back and got a trip to McDonald’s from their manager for scoring their first ever goal.
Second half
Tony made big changes with Josh and Chris swapping positions, and nearly every boy changed places with someone else. The goals came thick and fast with Josh, Tommy x2 ,Michael, Liam x2 and two own goals.
Although this was a record breaking score for Wilburn it was not our best performance as we started chasing the ball again as if we were back in the Under 7's and if we do this next week we will come away with nothing.

The wanderers now go marching on to the next round of the cup.
Linford Wanderers v Wilburn Wanderers
A cold and sunny afternoon in Linford saw Wilburn take on Linford Wanderers in a 2.30pm kick off at the Recreation Ground, Linford.
The teams lined up with Wilburn anticipating a goals fest considering Linfords’ past form. The score opened up not long into the 1st half with 3 quick goals in succession from the Wilburn strike force and rampaging midfield quartet. But this was only to be followed by a good goal from Linford, their first in their campaign this season after Wilburn fell asleep at the back. With the Linford manager’s exuberant celebrations in full flow, who’s now anticipating an expensive visit with the team to MacDonald’s which later became Pizza Hut after the second Linford goal went in the Wilburn net, the game played on. Well done Linford!
Half time came and went with the changes being rung by the Wilburn management team, followed by striking opportunities for the Wilburn centre backs and keeper who were now playing up front, giving Liam two good goals after surging runs, one for Josh after an excellent shot and a near miss from Luke R.
Further goals by came in the final 30 minutes leaving the final score 11 to 2 to Wilburn with Josh 1, Liam 2, Jimmie 2, and the Squirrel trio of Chris 2, Tommy 2 and Michael 2.
Good luck to Linford for the rest of the season.
