Wilburn Wanderers 1 Billericay 2

After Wednesday’s great performance against  LTD Vipers, Wilburn thought this would be easy but it was not to be.  Billericay attacked from the start and Wilburn paid the price from a well-worked goal. Wilburns heads didn’t drop and Corin scored a fine goal to make it 1-1 but although Chris S saw a half chance roll past the post the Reds could not raise their game and the score stayed the same until half time.

Although Tony made changes at half time the Reds still couldn’t perform to their normal standard and fell behind again when a high-deflected shot flew over the head of Josh.  Wilburn had their best spell of the match near to the end but nothing went right and the final score ended up 2-1 to Billericay. We were all very disappointed with the performance and must improve next week in our first league game.  My MOM was Luke Rivett.
