Wilburn Wanderers 2 Thurrock Youth 1

After a testing training session for Tony ,the boys were up against one of the better teams in the league, Thurrock youth.

First Half

 Wilburn picked to play against the freezing blustery wind in the first half. As a result the pressure was mostly in the reds end .A mixture of the defense playing high up the field for off side's and the speed of their quick forward resulted in Thurrock opening the scoring.

 Second Half

 The second half Josh and Luke R could take full advantage of their big kick’s because of the wind. A mistake by their midfielder gave Wilburn a free kick just in their half.Luke Rivett pumped the ball into their box over the defense,Jimmy raced on to the ball and finished confidently to make the score 1-1.

From then on Thurrock were on the back foot,another mistake by their midfield let Tommy seize the opportunity and took his goal with the confidence.Final score 2-1 to Wilburn.
