This was a good performance by Wilburn who scored quite early through Christopher, we then put a lot of pressure on Comets with Liam hitting the post and Christopher shooting narrowly wide,but could not score another. Essex Comets came back strongly into the game and equalised with a great shot. 5 minutes before the break Michael hit the post with a tremendous shot and Liam was the first to react making it 2-1 to Wilburn.

Second Half

Wilburn started the second half without any subs and soon scored through Christopher 3-1. Although Comets kept attacking our defence, especially Chriso and Charlie, kept them out. Christopher then scored his third, he chased the ball down and the keeper and defender got mixed up so he stole it from them for his hat-trick 4-1. Essex Comets fought back and scored to make it 4-2. Christopher scored again for his fourth and the 99th of his career 5-2. Essex Comets came back 5-3 but thanks to a penalty awarded to Jonathon and taken by Luke Marriage who kept a cool head and scored. Final score 6-3.

A good performance by the whole team with Liam slotting in well up front alongside Christopher with the new look defence playing their part.
